Oct 16 (Reuters) -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Wednesday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.4%.


* ANTOFAGASTA: AntofagastaANTO.L reported a 15%rise in third-quarter copper output compared to the second quarter, due to destocking of inventories at its Los Pelambres mine and better grades at its Centinela mine in Chile.

* QUILTER: British wealth manager QuilterQLT.L reportedhigher third-quarter assets under management, as more clients poured money into its funds, taking net inflows to 1.4 billion pounds ($1.82 billion).

* WHITBREAD: WhitbreadWTB.L said ittargeted at least 300 million pounds more profit and over 2 billion pounds for shareholder returns in the next five years, as it reported a 13% fall in its first-half adjusted pretax profit.

* FCA: The Financial Conduct Authority has begun a review of Britain's premium finance market, amid fears that consumers who borrow to pay for motor and home insurance may not be receiving fair or competitive deals, as prices across the sector continue to rise.

* INFLATION: British inflation fell by more than expected last month, including key measures watched by the Bank of England, according to data that bolstered bets on an interest rate cut next month.

* GSK: British drugmaker GlaxoSmithKline GSK.L sued Moderna MRNA.O in U.S. federal court in Delaware on Tuesday, accusing it of violating GSK patent rights in messenger RNA technology with its blockbuster COVID-19 vaccine Spikevax and RSV shot mResvia.

* GOLD: Gold prices inched higher on Wednesday.

* OIL: Oil prices inched higher in early trade on uncertainty over what may happen next in the Middle East conflict, after demand concerns knocked the market to its lowest since early October in the previous session.
