Financial investors extend their short position in Euronext wheat
Oct 16 (Reuters) -Non-commercial market participants extendedtheir net shortposition in Euronext's milling wheat futures and options in the week to October 11,data published by Euronext on Wednesdayshowed.
Non-commercial participants, which include investment funds and financial institutions, extendedtheir net shortposition to 61,028 contracts from 60,619a week earlier, the data showed.
Commercial participants reducedtheir net longposition to 66,819 contracts from 67,270a week earlier.
Commercial short positions accounted for 44.61% of the total short positions, while their long positions accounted for 54.63% of total long positions.
Non-commercial short positions represented 55.38% of total short positions, while non-commercial net long positions accounted for 45.36% of the total longs.
In Euronext's rapeseed futures and options, non-commercial market participants extendedtheir net longposition to 29,233 contracts from 13,485a week earlier.
Commercial participants extendedtheir net shortposition in rapeseed to 25,052 contracts from 9,381 a week earlier.
