European futures fail to track China's rallying open

EUROPEAN FUTURES FAIL TO TRACK CHINA'S RALLYING OPEN
European futures are heading for a soft open, taking their cue from a slump in Hong Kong .HSI rather than the opening roar in onshore Chinese markets' where stocks rose to two-year highs on stimulus hopes as markets returned after a week-long holiday.
Chinese stock market turnover exceeded 3 trillion yuan ($425.11 billion) on Tuesday, a record, but benchmarks were soon off their highs and proxies for Chinese growth slipped across Asia.
EuroSTOXX50 STXEc1 futures are down 1%, while FTSE futures FFIc1 are off 0.8% as are DAX futures FDXc1.
In company news, Britain's Vistry has slashed its full year 2024 FY24 profit outlook on revised costs and Swiss cement maker Holcim HOLN.S has bought U.S. insulation systems OX Engineered Products.
Austrian oil and gas group OMV OMVV.VI says it expects an impact of more than 200 million euros ($220 million) on its third-quarter clean operating result following oil production disruptions in Libya.
A survey showed British shoppers increased their spending moderately in annual terms last month despite industry concerns about tax rises in finance minister Rachel Reeves' upcoming budget and a looming rise in household energy bills.
